Open alpha means the doors are open
Open alpha is simple: anyone can make an account and start playing right now. You draft a 7-card team (6 Fighters and 1 commander) from a free ghost-catalog floor, so you can field a full legal team without buying a single card and without a crypto wallet. Sign up with email, Google, or Hive Keychain. It all runs in the browser. Nothing to download.
This is still an alpha. We are building in the open and shipping fast, and some rails are still gated (more on that below). But the core game is live and the earning is on.
The ways to earn SGC right now
SGC is Stellarch's in-game credit. During open alpha you earn it by playing:
- Ranked wins. Every ranked win feeds a daily SGC reward pool. The pool settles at the end of each day, and you claim your share on the /play screen the next day.
- Void Chests. Win a match and open a Void Chest for an instant drop.
- Season-end tournaments. Place in the end-of-season tournament and earn rewards on top of your ladder climb.
On top of SGC, alpha play hands out real things: reward cards, card packs, and potions (pack-opening boosters). You earn these by playing and progressing, not by paying.
Alpha battle passes are loaded
The WARPATH battle pass is worth more now than it ever will be again. Alpha battle passes pay out far more staked STEL than they will after full launch. If you are running a season pass, this is the cheapest STEL you will ever get from one. (STEL is Stellarch's staking token.)
Bring your crew: the affiliate program
You can also earn by growing the game. The affiliate program is live: invite friends, and when they join and play, you earn. It is a straight way to turn your community into rewards while the alpha is still small.
What SGC actually is (and what it is not)
Honesty is the whole point of a provably-fair game, so let us be exact.
SGC is product-backed store credit. Stellarch always accepts SGC for its own products at a fixed floor of 1,000 SGC per 1 US dollar of store value. So the SGC you earn holds real, guaranteed value inside the game: spend it on packs, potions, and upgrades.
What SGC is not, today: it is not a live crypto cash-out. Withdrawal rails and the open card market exist in the code but are still gated during alpha. We will not tell you that you can withdraw to your wallet today, because you can not yet. And SGC is not an investment: there is no price-appreciation promise here, just a fixed store-redemption floor you can count on.
The road to launch: January 8, 2027
Open alpha runs until full launch, planned for January 8, 2027. Everything you earn and build now carries forward.
