Terms of Service

Stellarch ("the Service", "we", "us") is a deterministic trading card game playable in your web browser, built on the Hive blockchain and operated by the provider named in the Imprint. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Service, including the website, game client, card collection, ranked play, and any in-game currencies.

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. During the closed alpha, the Service is provided for testing and evaluation; features, balance, and economy may change at any time.

You must be at least 18 years old to make purchases, hold tradeable tokens, or take part in any feature with real-world economic value. Users aged 16 and over may use non-economic features of the Service where this is permitted, subject to consent of a parent or legal guardian for the processing of their personal data where required.

By using the Service you confirm that you meet these age requirements and that your use of blockchain features, tokens, and purchases is lawful in your country of residence.

You can sign in to Stellarch using several methods: email with a one-time code and PIN, Hive Keychain, Google sign-in, or a supported blockchain wallet (EVM, EOS, TON, or Gala chains). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, PIN, private keys, and wallet secrets secure. We never ask for your Hive active or owner key, your wallet seed phrase, or your full private keys.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or are linked to fraud or chargebacks.

Stellarch uses three in-game currencies:

• SGC (Stellarch Galactic Credit): a tradeable utility token on Hive Engine, used inside the card market.
• STEL: a tradeable governance and staking utility token on Hive Engine.
• KRED (Stellarch Kredit): non-tradeable internal store credit, purchased with real money and used to acquire products inside the Service.

Cards, packs, KRED, and other virtual items are licensed to you for use within the Service, not sold to you as property, except where the item exists as a token on the Hive blockchain that you self-custody. We may add, change, re-balance, or retire cards, abilities, rulesets, and economy parameters at any time, particularly during the alpha. Such changes are part of normal game operation and do not entitle you to a refund of in-game items.

SGC and STEL are utility tokens intended for use within the Stellarch game economy. They are NOT investments, securities, shares, or a promise of financial return. Their market price is determined by third-party markets and may fall to zero. KRED has no cash value, is non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for money.

We accept SGC at a guaranteed in-store redemption floor of $0.001 per 1 SGC (1,000 SGC per US dollar) as payment for our own products. This floor applies only to purchases of Stellarch products and is not a promise that any external market will pay that price.

Crypto-assets carry market and regulatory risk. Regulation of crypto-assets in the EU continues to evolve (including under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, MiCA), and rules that apply to SGC or STEL may change. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Make your own assessment and consult a qualified professional before acquiring tokens.

Where the Service offers paid products (for example, KRED purchased with a card via Stripe or with crypto), prices are shown before you complete the purchase. Payments by card are processed by Stripe; crypto payments are settled on the Hive blockchain or Hive Engine.

For consumers in the EU, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content and services. By requesting immediate delivery of digital content (for example, KRED credited instantly to your account) and acknowledging that you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery begins, you expressly consent to immediate performance and waive the 14-day withdrawal right for that delivered content, as permitted under EU consumer law. Where delivery has not yet begun, your statutory withdrawal right is unaffected.

Because digital products are delivered immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable once delivered, subject to your mandatory statutory rights. If a payment is reversed, charged back, or disputed after the corresponding KRED or items have been delivered or spent, we may revoke the delivered balance, suspend the account, and recover the value owed. Abusive chargebacks may result in permanent loss of access.

You agree not to: cheat, exploit bugs for unfair advantage, use unauthorized automation or bots against other players, manipulate the economy or ranked ladders, harass other users, infringe intellectual property, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose. The combat engine is deterministic and replayable from a seed; attempting to tamper with match results is a violation of these Terms. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

All card art, names, game text, the combat engine, source code, and the overall design of Stellarch are owned by the operator or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for play. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission, except as permitted by mandatory law.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", especially during the closed alpha. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any particular feature, card, or economy parameter will remain available. Blockchain transactions are irreversible and outside our control once broadcast.

To the extent permitted by German law, our liability is limited as follows. We are liable without limitation for damages caused by intent or gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties), and in such cases liability is limited to foreseeable, typically occurring damages. This limitation does not apply where mandatory statutory provisions, such as product liability law, require otherwise. Standard terms are interpreted in line with Sections 305 to 310 of the German Civil Code (BGB).

We are not liable for losses arising from the volatility of tokens, blockchain network conditions, or third-party services (such as Stripe, Hive nodes, or wallet providers).

Your privacy matters to us. The collection and processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which you can access at any time. We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features, economy changes, or legal requirements. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers in the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence.
