Referrals
These rules keep the referral program fair for everyone. Sharing your link is encouraged, gaming it is not. Here is exactly how it works.

A referral counts when a pilot you invited is a brand-new, distinct account AND completes the qualifying action. At alpha that action is confirming their newsletter email. Until that confirmation lands, the referral stays pending.
The first referral link a new pilot opens wins. If they later click a different link, the original referrer keeps the credit. One pilot, one referrer.
Referring yourself, or creating extra accounts to refer your main, does not count. Duplicate or alternate accounts created to inflate a total are removed and never pay out.
There is a cap on how many referrals a single link can earn in a given window. Normal sharing will never hit it; the cap exists only to blunt bulk abuse.
Posting your link on social media, in your community, or to friends is completely fine. Mass-spam, automated sign-ups, and coordinated referral rings (groups referring each other to farm rewards) are void and earn nothing.
Rewards are reviewed before they are paid, typically within 24 to 72 hours. The exclusive referral promo card is granted after that review. This short hold lets us keep the leaderboard honest.
If activity looks abusive, we may withhold or flag the rewards for a human review. We do not auto-ban for this. A flagged account can reach out and appeal. Genuine pilots have nothing to worry about.
The rally leaderboard ranks players by their net CONFIRMED referrals for the rally. Pending, flagged, and voided referrals never count. Reciprocal pairs that refer each other are excluded from the standings.
