v0.50.1 Patch release

Patch 0.50.1: Sparring Partner

“When the queue drags, call in a trainer.”

Short answer

No more staring at a search timer. Patch 0.50.1 lets you call in an AI Trainer straight from the ranked queue, and the trainers you meet now scale with your tier. Battle Lab moves to a cleaner home, the Signal Deck tells you exactly what you are wearing, and a run of fixes lands across packs, tournaments and WARPATH.

New

Fight an AI Trainer now

Waiting in the ranked queue? After 10 seconds a "Fight an AI Trainer now" button appears, so you can jump straight into a match instead of waiting for the automatic one. You get 10 early calls per day, the button shows how many you have left, and the count resets at midnight UTC.

Improved

AI Trainers now scale with your tier

Ranked AI Trainers now get tougher as you climb the tiers inside your league, and the curve is the same in every league: Tier V trainers go easier on you, Tier I trainers bring their best. Their Fighter levels still match your league, so a Champion trainer still fields Champion-strength cards.

Battle Lab has a new home

The Battle Lab card is gone from the Play screen, which now stays focused on your next match. You can still open the Lab from the Play menu on desktop, and on phones and tablets it now has its own row in your profile menu, right under Collection.

A clearer Signal Deck

The Signal Deck cosmetics picker now shows clearly what you are wearing and what Apply will change. Your equipped animation skins are marked on the Animations tab, the jump chips follow you as you scroll, and closing with unsaved picks now asks before throwing them away. It also reads better on phones, with a keyboard, and with a screen reader.

Fixed

Genesis Cache reveals show the whole Fighter

Opening a Genesis Cache no longer trims the edges off your revealed Fighter. Every reveal now shows the full card, and on shorter phones the card no longer slides under the row of cards you have already collected.

Tournament rewards show the real payout

The Rewards tab now says exactly how many places get paid, and the prize ladder lists only the ranks that actually win a share for the players registered right now. Before anyone signs up, it tells you paid places will appear once players register.

WARPATH levels with two rewards fit again

On the WARPATH road, a level holding two rewards no longer cuts off its top line or knocks its row out of line. The road now grows to fit its tallest reward, on desktop and on phones.

Smoother on phones and tablets

On phones, the Exclusive Reward panel on the Recruit page now scrolls away with the page instead of staying pinned over everything else, so the countdown stays readable. The pack carousel on the Packs page spans the full width on phones, and the slot numbers in the team picker dock size down properly on tablets.

Plus 8 fixes and refinements under the hood, for sturdier tournament payouts and AI Trainers that keep learning. Queue up, and if the wait drags, call in a trainer.
