Hintergrund

Born inside supernova shells five eons ago, the Pyrenari evolved without solid matter; their bodies are kept coherent by a coronal lattice the elders call the Cinderskin. They travel in convoy-fleets, riding the gravity wakes of collapsing giants, and treat any prolonged peace as a structural failure. Their warbands hire out across the galactic arm to whichever side offers the next combustible engagement.

Physiologie

Plasma-stable humanoid silhouettes anchored by metal lattices fused at the spine. They radiate visible heat; long peace cools them toward fragility.

Visuelle Vorlage

Tall lean humanoid silhouettes that look HUMAN-shaped but rendered in coronal plasma — torso, limbs, head all defined by glowing convective surface plates with hairline cracks of darker char between. The spine is the only solid part: a vertical ribbed metal column (the Cinderskin lattice) visible at the back of the neck, between the shoulder blades, and down the lower back as a series of glowing-orange ribs. Eyes are solid orange-white embers, no whites or pupils. Faces have flat cheeks and prominent jaw lines but no hair — the head is a smooth helmet-like plasma form with a slight crest. They wear minimal clothing — narrow utility wraps in dark scorched fabric across the hips and a single shoulder, plus thin metallic harness straps that double as heat-sinks. Weapons are short, kinetic, often a heat-sink lance or a single curved blade with a glowing edge. Posture is wired and tense; they stand like sprinters at a starting line. Heat-haze visibly distorts the air around them.
