Lupari

Hintergrund

The Lupari evolved on a world with two stars and consequently two religions, two warrior castes, and two completely opposite reactions to violence. The Sunward caste are honor-paladins who heal the fallen — including enemies — after every engagement. The Shadeward caste are berserkers who hunt by scent and never sleep before the kill is counted. They tolerate each other because the alternative would be civil war.

Physiologie

Felinoid humanoids with manes that change color by emotional state. The two castes are physiologically identical; the difference is cultural.

Visuelle Vorlage

Tall (1.9-2.2m) digitigrade felinoid humanoids with short tawny-gold fur covering the body, slightly longer on the forearms and shins, denser around the neck and jaw. A flowing mane runs from the top of the head down the upper back; color shifts subtly with emotion — gold in peace, deep crimson in battle, pale white in mourning. Face is feline — high cheekbones, slit pupils in emerald or amber eyes, a short muzzle with prominent canines visible at rest. Two upright cat-ears at the top of the head, one frequently scarred. Lupari split into TWO castes — Sunward (honor-paladin, golden/warm tones, ceremonial open robes, healer's collar) and Shadeward (berserker, ash-and-blood face paint, leather harness, twin sabres). Otherwise physiologically identical. Posture: Sunward stand tall and composed; Shadeward crouch low and ready. Weapons: Sunward carry a curved staff or single healer's blade; Shadeward carry paired sabres or hand-claws.
