v0.37.0

Patch 0.37.0: The Long Game

Achievements pay out for playing, tournaments run cleaner start to finish, and twenty new Fighters crowd the odd-mana pool.

This patch rebuilds the achievements economy from the ground up. Rewards now
lean toward the achievements you earn by actually playing, the progression
curve and rank bands were re-cut so climbing feels steadier, and your earned
progress was rescored to match. Tournaments get sharper too, with instant seat
placement, a live start countdown, and a cleaner grand final. And twenty
brand-new Fighters join the roster to widen your odd-mana drafts.

Improved

The achievements economy got a full rebalance

We retuned how achievements pay out from top to bottom. Rewards now favor
the achievements you earn by actually playing your matches, the progression
curve and rank bands were re-cut so each step feels steadier instead of
lurching, and the daily caps were repaired so a long session counts the way
you expect. Your existing achievement progress was rescored under the new
numbers, so everything you had already earned carries straight over.

Social achievements reward genuine activity

The social achievements were redesigned to track real, qualified activity
rather than an easily-padded count. Earning them now reflects actually
taking part, so they mean something when you unlock them.

Tournaments seat you instantly and count down to the start

Register for a tournament and you now drop straight into your bracket seat
the moment you join, instead of waiting for the whole field to fill first.
Every event shows a live forecast counting down to when it begins, and the
grand final now plays as one clean decider so the champion is settled
without a confusing extra step.

Guild brawl frays guarantee a proper opponent floor

Guild brawl frays now guarantee a Mythic-tier ghost opponent floor, so a
high-tier fray always has a properly leveled baseline to play against
instead of an under-powered stand-in.

Fixed

Armor Failure reads correctly in replays

Fixed a replay glitch where an Armor Failure that struck several Fighters
at once did not zero out all of their armor pips and bars. The board now
shows the true state as the hit lands.

The tournament bracket columns line up again

On a tournament's bracket tab, the round columns now sit cleanly under the
panel header again instead of drifting out of alignment.

Hover previews get out of your way

Card hover previews now dismiss themselves after you open a modal or scroll
the page, so a stale preview no longer hangs on top of what you are trying
to read.

The salvage guide no longer scrolls sideways

Fixed the Void Chest salvage guide so it no longer slides left and right on
smaller screens.

A misleading claim label is gone

Removed a claim reward that was wrongly tagged Soulbound, so what you can
and cannot trade reads correctly again.

Twenty new Fighters widen your odd-mana drafts

Twenty brand-new Fighters join the catalog, each built around an odd mana
cost with its own role and niche. They widen the pool for odd-mana rulesets
from 67 to 87 Fighters, so those drafts finally have real depth to work
with. Every one was sim-tested for its spot before it shipped.

Maelor, the Standing Tide

Maelor, the Standing Tide

New

Water's new legendary, the biggest wall in the wave. It anchors a water
frontline as a heavy armored tank that can soak the opening exchange and
keep the backline alive, so water finally has an odd-mana body it can
build a defensive board around.

Soul-Relight Warden

Soul-Relight Warden

New

A divine epic built as a late-game payoff piece. It plays from the
backline and turns a drawn-out fight in divine's favor, so a grindy
divine board now has a real closer at an odd mana slot.

Unit-19 "Magpie"

Unit-19 "Magpie"

New

A neutral epic finisher that punches through armored tanks. It slots
into any team as the ranged answer to a heavy frontline, so an
odd-mana draft short on armor breakers finally has one.

Brand-Scar Caster

Brand-Scar Caster

New

A fire magic debuffer. It chips away at the enemy board from range
while shrinking their threats, giving fire an odd-mana caster that
controls a fight instead of just racing it.

Counter-Ember Gunner

Counter-Ember Gunner

New

A fire sniper that punishes attackers by reflecting damage back. It
picks off backline threats and makes trading into it costly, a spiky
odd-mana pick for a reflect-leaning fire board.

Cinder-Pack Outrunner

Cinder-Pack Outrunner

New

A cheap, fast fire skirmisher that slips past the frontline to hit the
backline. It gives fire a low-cost odd-mana body for early tempo.

Last-Light Vanguard

Last-Light Vanguard

New

A divine frontliner with real armor. It buys the divine backline time
at an odd mana cost, filling the affinity's gap for a sturdy body that
is not its top-end legendary.

Mantle-Ward Sentinel

Mantle-Ward Sentinel

New

A cheap divine support that softens incoming damage for the team. It
gives a divine board a low-cost odd-mana mitigator to lean on.

Hull-Patch Gunner

Hull-Patch Gunner

New

A cheap neutral healer that fits any affinity. It adds a splash of
sustain from range at a low odd-mana cost, so a team short on healing
has an easy include.

Drag-Field Operator

Drag-Field Operator

New

A neutral control caster that bends a fight from range. It slots into
any team as an odd-mana disruptor, widening the pool for control
drafts.

Pressure-Dirge Consul

Pressure-Dirge Consul

New

A water magic debuffer that grinds down the enemy board. It gives water
an odd-mana caster to pair with its walls, leaning into slow, attritional
water boards.

Point-Blank Harpooner

Point-Blank Harpooner

New

A cheap water ranged body for the odd-mana bracket. It rounds out a
water lineup that needs a low-cost backline attacker.

Sun-Splint Medic

Sun-Splint Medic

New

A durable light healer that keeps sustaining after the first trades. Its
extra bulk lets a light board hold a long fight, a sturdier odd-mana
alternative to a fragile healer.

Prism-Purge Cantor

Prism-Purge Cantor

New

A fast light healer built to combo with the rest of a light board. It
gets its healing online quickly, giving light an odd-mana support that
rewards synergy.

Glare-Veil Bearer

Glare-Veil Bearer

New

A cheap light utility piece that debuffs without attacking. It trades a
swing for board control at a low odd-mana cost, a pure support include
for light.

Null-Gale Cutter

Null-Gale Cutter

New

A fast dark debuffer that gets its disruption in early. It gives dark an
odd-mana body that shapes a fight before the enemy sets up.

Shade-Feint Gunner

Shade-Feint Gunner

New

A versatile dark sniper that reflects damage back on attackers. It picks
off threats and punishes trades, a flexible odd-mana pick for a dark
board.

Sledge-Plate Breacher

Sledge-Plate Breacher

New

An earth melee specialist built to crack armored tanks. It gives earth a
dedicated odd-mana answer to a heavy frontline.

Rust-Bloom Mauler

Rust-Bloom Mauler

New

A cheap earth bruiser that debuffs as it trades. It adds a low-cost
odd-mana body to an earth board that wants to wear the enemy down.

Second-Squall Piper

Second-Squall Piper

New

A cheap wind support from range. It rounds out the affinity's thin
odd-mana options with a low-cost utility body.

More balance and tournament work is already in flight. Thanks for playing the
alpha and for keeping the replays and feedback coming.
