Patch 0.25.2: What You Own, You Can Field

A card in your collection that the picker refuses to offer is not really yours.

Ranked drafting hands everyone the same borrowed pool, and that pool was quietly overwriting your collection instead of sitting underneath it. If you owned a promo Fighter, the picker never offered it. That is fixed, and the same pass stopped the AI Trainer fielding promo cards no player could draw against it.
The rest is replay accuracy. The gold VS medallion was painting over the left Fighter mid-attack, and Reinforced Hulls was eating your commander's armor bonus in the battle view. Plus patch notifications now actually reach the people who asked for them.

Improved

Your Promo Cards Finally Count In Ranked

Ranked drafting gives every pilot the same borrowed catalog so nobody is locked out of a match by what they have not bought yet. The problem was that this borrowed pool REPLACED your collection rather than sitting under it, and it deliberately excludes promo Fighters. So if you owned a promo, the picker still refused to offer it. Owning the card did nothing.
The borrowed pool is now a floor. Your own battle-usable cards are added on top of it for anything the floor does not already cover, which today means the promo Fighters. Ownership only ever adds to what you can draft, it never takes anything away, and a promo you do not own stays unavailable exactly as before.
This applies to standard ranked, unranked and custom matches, which includes the AI Trainer. Ghost Ranked, the Battle Lab, guild brawls and tournament pairings deliberately stay on the shared floor alone, because those formats are meant to be a level field.

Fixed

The AI Trainer Stopped Fielding Cards You Cannot Draw

Four of the pools that build opponent teams were missing the promo filter, so a practice or showcase opponent could bring a promo Fighter into a match where you had no way to draft one yourself. The filter is applied everywhere now, so both sides of a board are drawn from the same set of legal cards.

The VS Medallion Stopped Painting Over The Left Fighter

When the Fighter on the left attacked, the gold VS medallion in the middle of the arena drew on top of them at the peak of the lunge, while the same attack from the right side drew correctly in front. The medallion now sits behind both, so an attack reads the same whichever side throws it. This covers every animation that moves a Fighter toward the centre, not just the melee swing that made it obvious.

Reinforced Hulls Stopped Swallowing Your Commander's Armor

With Reinforced Hulls active, a commander that also grants armor had that bonus dropped from the replay view. The health bonus landed, the armor did not, so the bar sat short by exactly the commander's contribution and the last segment stayed empty. Any other combination read correctly, which is why it looked like the ruleset itself was broken.
The engine was right the whole time and the match played out with the full armor. This was the battle view reading a stale number, so nothing about how your matches resolved has changed. What you see now matches what already happened.

Patch Notifications Reach Everyone Who Asked For Them

If you have release notifications switched on, several recent patches went live without ever pinging you. The notification only fired on one of the two ways a release gets published, and it was not the one we have been using. Both paths send it now.

Two of the four fixes here came from someone watching a replay and saying the picture did not match the card. That is a useful thing to report even when you are not sure it is a bug. Keep doing it.
