Patch 0.18.2: The Archive Reads Straight

A page you cannot navigate is a page nobody reads.

This one is a repair patch aimed squarely at the docs. Reading a reference page now scrolls like a normal page instead of three boxes fighting each other, the contents list tracks where you actually are, tapping an entry on your phone jumps you there, and the cookie card stopped parking on top of the list. The WARPATH road also stops offering you buttons that do nothing.

Improved

The pass tells you when there is something new

The WARPATH strip on the play screen now flags a level you just unlocked, once, so a new reward does not sit there unnoticed until you happen to open the track. The same cue fires after the daily spin pushes you past a level boundary.

The claim count next to it counts only levels that actually have something waiting, so the number on the badge and the number of things you can collect finally agree.

Fixed

Documentation scrolls as one page

On a desktop screen the reference pages had turned into three separate scroll boxes stacked inside each other, so the page header ate itself on the way down and the text felt trapped in a window inside the window.

It is one page again. The whole thing scrolls the way a page should, the header scrolls away, and the section list on the left plus the contents list stay pinned beside the text while you read.

The contents list follows you to the bottom

The "on this page" list highlights the section you are currently reading. On a short page the last couple of entries could never light up, because you run out of page before they cross the line that triggers them, and at the very top of the page nothing was highlighted at all.

Both ends are handled now. The first entry is active when you arrive, the last entry is active when you reach the bottom, and clicking an entry wins over the highlight rather than being overwritten by it mid scroll.

Contents entries work on a phone

On a phone, tapping an entry in the "on this page" list did nothing at all. The tap was being sent to a part of the layout that has no scrolling to do at that width, so the page never moved.

Tapping an entry now jumps to that section, and the section lands at the top of your screen. Rotating the phone re-checks it, so landscape behaves too.

The cookie card stopped covering the contents

The cookie preferences card sat in the bottom left corner and stayed there until you answered it. On the documentation pages that corner is exactly where the contents list lives, and because the list is pinned it could never be scrolled out from underneath. Two of its entries were simply unclickable.

On desktop the card now parks in the bottom right instead, clear of the list. The waitlist chip that also lives in that corner steps aside while the card is up, so the two never stack on each other.

No more empty CLAIM buttons on the WARPATH road

Not every level on the pass carries a reward on both tracks. Levels you had reached that had nothing to give were still showing a CLAIM button, so you would press it and nothing would happen.

Those levels now show a plain dash, the way an empty level should look, and they no longer count toward the number of rewards waiting for you.

Most of this came from people telling us the docs were annoying to read on a phone, which is exactly the kind of report that gets fixed fast. Keep sending them.
