Patch v0.11.4: Battle Lab, the Grand Vault, Staking, and Loyalty

An omnibus drop. Review-mode Battle Lab, a fully redesigned wallet, STEL staking, the SIGIL currency, and the Golem Overlord loyalty migration all land together.

This one is all about the moments around your matches. Every battle now opens on a cinematic split-screen VS showdown, guilds get a full Brawls hub to fight through, and the new Battle Lab lets you replay a finished match with a fresh team to see what would have happened. Add a redesigned Grand Vault wallet, a cleaner profile, and a lot of speed under the hood, and this is the biggest presentation pass the alpha has had.

New

Every match opens on a cinematic VS showdown

The pre-battle screen is completely reborn as a split-screen VS showdown. Each side carries a polished nameplate with an avatar medallion and the commander's name front and center, while the league, mana cap, and affinity read as clean chips, and a metallic VS emblem sits on the seam between the two halves. Before the fight, a smooth field-preview walks you across both boards so you can size up the matchup, and hitting Begin Battle plays a cinematic dismiss before the arena drops in. It is tuned to feel right on both desktop and mobile, and it slams in over a solid black stage before clearing away for battle.

Guild Brawls: take your guild to war

Guilds now have a full Brawls hub. Pick your bracket from a redesigned tier selector that shows an icon and a live guild count for each tier, opt your guild in, and claim a fray spot on the brawl board. The board lays out tournament standings and phase-aware fray status so you always know where the brawl stands, and guild officers get settings for the tier, opt-in, and pulling a submission. The whole thing updates live as the brawl moves through its phases, with a polished fray-assign flow for claiming your spot.

Battle Lab: replay any match with a new team

Battle Lab is a brand-new review mode for finished matches. Open a match you already played, keep the same opponent locked in, then rebuild your own team and run it again to see how it would have gone. Nothing about the Lab touches your record: no rating, no rewards, no energy, just pure what-if theory-crafting. It is the fastest way to learn a matchup you just lost.

The Grand Vault wallet, redesigned

Your wallet got a top-to-bottom redesign into the Grand Vault. Every currency has its own tab with a clean, premium layout, and each token now wears its canonical hex-sigil icon across the whole site, so SGC, STEL, and KRED are instantly recognizable wherever they appear. It is a much nicer place to check your balances and see where your currency is going.

Items in your collection, with a real NFT view

Cosmetic items now live properly inside your collection alongside your cards. Broken item images are fixed, the collection is item-aware throughout, and each item gets a card-like NFT view with its own frame, chrome, and focal-filled art that never stretches. Owning, viewing, and equipping your cosmetics all feel first-class now.

A cleaner top nav on desktop and mobile

The top navigation got decluttered end to end. Players and Codex now live under a single Explore dropdown, brawl access folded into the Guilds menu, and the account dropdown was trimmed with unavailable features clearly gated. On mobile you get a dedicated Collection tab, tap-to-open dropdowns that respond to touch, and a full-screen profile menu. The header no longer overflows on smaller screens, and its dropdown triggers now behave consistently.

A cleaner player profile

The profile hero got a design pass so your identity reads clearly at a glance. It is tidier, better spaced, and puts your avatar, name, and standing front and center. A nicer front door for every player page.

Smoother match flow from pick to replay

Getting into and out of a match is smoother now. After you pick and after a match ends, the game sends you where you actually want to go next instead of a dead-end page, and the old empty Battle Log page is gone. Unrated and practice matches no longer show a meaningless rating or league, players without a set avatar get a clean default, and you will not get a redundant match-complete ping while you are already watching the replay.

Watch replays at half speed

Replays now have a half-speed (0.5x) playback option. Slow a fight down to catch the exact swing, proc, or death that turned the match. It sits right alongside the existing speed controls.

Guild activity feed shows Crown and SGC costs

The guild activity feed now shows both upgrade cost legs, Crown and SGC, each with its proper currency icon, and it merges donation activity into one clean stream. Costs read consistently now instead of one leg being dimmed out. It is much easier to see what your guild is spending and earning at a glance.

50 new profile avatars

We added 50 more cosmetic profile avatars, bringing the catalog to 100. Plenty more ways to make your profile yours.

Improved

The chat dock got a big upgrade

Chat picked up a batch of real quality-of-life upgrades. You can now react to messages and reply to anyone's message, reactions show live beside the name along with who reacted, and timestamps sit where you expect them. The dock is taller and wider with no sideways scroll, message requests open right inside the dock with a live count, and the whole thing sits in a cleaner bottom-aligned layout with a reusable player-card hover.

Ranked climbing is now purely rating-based

Your tier inside a league family is now decided by your rating alone. Collection Power only gates which family you are allowed to enter, so climbing is about how you play, not how much you own. And if your Collection Power ever drops below a family's entry bar, you are moved to the highest family you can still play instead of being stuck.

Faster across the board

This patch put real work into speed. The draft picker loads dramatically faster when a match starts, and practice and showcase opponents pick their teams quicker, so matches begin sooner. Your collection page stays fast even when you own a huge number of cards, and art and images across the whole site were made lighter, especially on mobile.

A clearer guild emblem picker

The guild emblem picker now orders crests by tier and then by availability, so the good stuff is easy to find. It also clearly distinguishes an emblem that is locked behind a citadel tier from one that is simply already taken. No more guessing why a crest is unavailable.

Cleaner changelog pages

The changelog index and release pages got a spacing and layout pass into a proper patch-notes format, so the page you are reading right now is easier to skim. Small thing, nicer read.

Fixed

Chat fixes

Squashed a batch of chat annoyances. The dock no longer reloads or flashes when you move between pages, the kebab (three-dot) menu no longer hides behind messages, and the minimized dock now shows your chat partners' avatars and stops a stray tap from sending you to the play screen.

Brawl fixes

Fixed several guild-brawl rough edges. Claiming a fray spot now updates in place without a full reload or losing your scroll position, the brawl tab shows the right league badge and controls, and the header brawl indicator renders as one clean unified chip.

Replay, showdown, and Battle Lab fixes

Tidied up the battle presentation. The VS-showdown no longer flickers the arena through during load, and its nameplate corners now sit square against the gold accent edge. In Battle Lab, a frozen opponent team that went over the mana cap after a rebalance no longer errors out, plus a few smaller Lab polish nits.

Match, picker, and results fixes

Fixed a run of match-flow snags: a clearer custom-match banner, faster draft card loading, clickable match notifications that take you straight to the replay, and the draft splash loading reliably. Ratings and league no longer show on unrated matches in the picker header or on the results overlay.

Profile fixes

Fixed the profile match-history mode chips and the multi-family rating charts, and made the profile page load faster, especially when viewing your own.

Wallet and login fixes

Fixed overlapping tooltips on the SGC, STEL, and KRED balances. The Hive Keychain login now uses the real Keychain logo everywhere, including in the account dropdown, instead of a stand-in mark.

Landing, packs, and mobile polish

A grab-bag of visual fixes. The landing showcase cards scale up properly and more dramatically on hover, and the hero cards no longer drift over the nav when you navigate back. Footer social icons use official brand logos (with Product Hunt added), the Gladius pack odds pills no longer look clickable, and mobile no longer magnifies or pops card popovers while you swipe-scroll.

Site and waitlist fixes

Fixed the legal pages (Terms, Privacy, and friends) that could error out, along with a dead Manage-cookies footer button and a handful of pages that returned errors for some visitors. Also fixed the waitlist form silently dropping some signups whose fields were autofilled, and corrected the confirmation message you see after joining.

More guild and social features are landing next. Thanks for playing the alpha and for every replay and bug report you send our way.
