Patch 0.40.12: Seasons on Record

Past standings back in reach, and your results filed under the right season.

This patch is about your record. Past seasons' final leaderboards are back within reach, ranked and season-end tournament results now settle onto the season they belong to, and a shapeshift matchup that used to stall out finally plays to a real finish.

Neu

Look back at past seasons on the leaderboard

The ranked leaderboard now has a season dropdown. Pick any closed season and the board switches to that season's frozen final standings, so you can go back and see where everyone landed when it ended. The current season stays the default, and switching seasons never touches your live standing.

Behoben

Shapeshift matches resolve instead of stalling

On the shapeshift ruleset, a match could freeze with no Fighter ever attacking and drag all the way to a fatigue finish. That is fixed. Those matches now fight to a real result, and they hold up correctly across every ruleset combination.

Ranked matches count toward the season you played them in

A ranked match still in progress when a new season began could get counted against the new season and leave a phantom placement on the wrong board. A match is now always credited to the season it was actually played in, so your standings line up with when you earned them.

Season-end tournaments seed by this season's rating

If you had competed across more than one season, the season-end tournament could seed your bracket position from an older season's rating. Seeding now uses your current season's rating, so the bracket reflects how you actually finished this season.

Tournament prize cards show their true level

A tournament prize card could display a maxed level while really carrying only a small amount of card, so it looked stronger than it was and would snap back down the first time you combined it. Prize cards now show the correct level for what they award, and any cards already handed out with the wrong level have been repaired.

Back the Charter with an email login

If you sign in with an email link, the Back the Charter pledge screen could wrongly tell you to add an email before you could pledge, even though you already had one. It now recognizes your email login, so you can pledge without being blocked.

Mobile wallet stops cutting off long balances

On a phone, a long balance in the wallet's currency cards could get clipped at the edge of the card on narrow screens. The card now fits the whole number, so your full STEL or SGC balance stays readable at any width. Wide screens are unchanged.

Derelict Volley-Frame can snipe from the low leagues

The Derelict Volley-Frame is a low-cost sniper, but its Snipe only switched on at max level, so in the leagues where a cheap card actually gets fielded it could not do the one thing it is built for. Snipe now comes online far earlier.

  • Snipe unlock Level 8 Level 2

The Volley-Frame is a 4 mana sniper, but with Snipe locked to max level it could not reach the back line in bronze, silver, or gold, the exact leagues where a low-cost card sees play, so it sat below its intended power there. Unlocking Snipe from Level 2 lets it shoot past the front line from the bronze league up, which is the whole point of a sniper.

More ranked and season polish is on the way. Thanks for playing the alpha and sending us the matches that turned up these edges.
